A World Market Collaboration with flowers by Brooke Edelman Floral Design
This last weekend my closest friends and family gathered to help me celebrate the imminent arrival of Little Miss Newman. The shower was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every single way. I felt oh so very loved and will treasure the memories forever. I am grateful to have such wonderful, thoughtful people in my life.

For those of you who don’t know I kind of have a love affair with World Market. Every season they release the most magical, inspiring, and unique products. From their tableware to their paper goods, I love (and want) it all. Collaborating with them on this project was a dream. If you are hosting a shower, whether bridal or baby, World Market truly is a one stop shop for everything you will need!
Vision: an elegant, modern, feminine brunch
Color Scheme: blush pink, white, neutrals, with shimmery gold accents
Textures: wood, metal, clear glass, & fresh foliage
Food: waffle bar, yogurt parfaits, fruit kabobs, quiche, & donuts
Drinks: juice bar, individual milk bottles, water, & coffee
The brunch buffet was held in a stunningly cozy clubhouse, complete with a roaring fire! When you walked in you were greeted by a personalized chalkboard sign with the most lovely flower garland draped across the top.
We kept the tables simple to give a contemporary, minimalistic vibe. Crisp, white linens were topped with chargers (wood chargers for the head table and gold chargers for the guest tables), white plates, blush linen napkins, all-purpose drinking glasses (perfect for filling with water, juice, or any other beverage), and metallic gold cutlery.
A dash of greenery and custom calligraphy placards were the perfect finishing touches on the place settings! We added these wooden geometric napkin rings to the head table to distinguish it a little bit more.
For the centerpieces we went with these gorgeous, ornate, brass and glass lanterns. Lanterns make for great centerpieces because you can open the “door” and have fresh flowers elegantly flowing out.
I am now going to walk you through our simple, creative brunch buffet from start to finish. First, we had a little coffee station where guests could get their caffeine fix. The set up consisted of a Keurig, a creamer, a sugar bowl, and k-cups tossed in a wooden pedestal bowl.
Next up, the part I was the most excited about, the glorious waffle bar! Instead of laying out pre-made waffles (which get cold incredibly fast), we had a pair of Belgian waffle irons ready to roll and poured the batter in cups – hotel style! Fresh, piping hot waffles for all!
After guests made their waffles, they had a selection of syrups and toppings to deck them out with! We hung little printed labels with a modern typeface from the syrup pourers (aka white creamers) so guest knew which was which. The syrups were placed atop a charming scalloped wood board to protect the linen from those inevitable, sticky drips!
One of my favorite items used at the shower were these miniature milk bottles! They made for the most adorable display, lined up on a gold and mirrored round tray. They were a huge hit, and it’s no wonder why! They are basically the cutest things ever. I will be drinking all of my beverages out of these for ever and ever.
We added a dash of color to the table using simple, modern glass vases filled with tall floral stems. We put flameless LED candles in the candle holders so that we didn’t have to worry about relighting them during the party!
Beside the milk we had a juice bar. Again, incredibly easy to put together! We simply printed labels for carafes, filled ‘em up with a variety of brightly colored juices, and voila! These carafes could also be used in a stunning mimosa bar, for all you champagne lovers out there!
Behind this table you’ve probably noticed the paper fan display. I made these using wrapping paper and card stock with the help of my sweet husband. I will be posting a tutorial for you next week. It’s a great, inexpensive way to up your party decor game!
On the second buffet table we had dainty yogurt parfaits (yogurt layered with granola and fresh berries). I loved all the different shaped and textured mini containers and flatware (like these wooden spoons). It gave the buffet a more delicate feel and made for quick and easy self-serving!
We also had vibrant fruit kabob trays and the most delicious quiche ever (shoutout to my momma).
Finally, the buffet ended with donuts stacked on cake stands in place of a cake. So fun!
Above this table we hung blush tissue paper pom moms alternatingly with white paper lanterns and white honeycomb paper balls.
My absolute favorite detail of the entire shower were these modern brass geo terrariums filled with the most gorgeous flower arrangements I have ever seen! Obsessed!
All of the flowers at my shower were meticulously crafted by Brooke Edelman Floral Design. Brooke understood my vision, made it a reality, and was an absolute delight to work with. She’s incredibly talented – a true flower guru!
